can i get my Sterling Silver Ring cut to my size?
okay so there is a jeweler by my house i took my ring and he said he couldn't cut it because if he did my ring would turn black. but my friend said i can find a jeweler do it. if i can does anyone know a place near Downy Ca that might do it
silver is very hard to work with especially in sizing and since silver is so cheap its much better to buy the item in your size already also silver rings they require the same plating as white gold , rhodium plating , which is basically platinum and the process of applying this to your silver ring would cost more than the ring itself but is needed to give it the white look silver has.
basically you can have your ring sized but it ll cost you more than the ring is worth and will not turn out the way you like it
